Wang, Tengjiao is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and technology, School of EECS. He also served as the Deputy Director of Big Data Center for Arts and Sciences, Peking University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2002. His research interests include database management system, Web data management, big data management and mining.

Served as the Project Leader, Prof. Wang has more than ten research projects including National Key Research and Development Program, 863 project and NSFC etc. His research achievements are summarized as follows:

1)      Web data extraction, integration and mining techniques.

2)      Query processing and optimization.

3)      Big Data mining techniques.

Many of Prof. Wang’s research and develop results have been successfully applied to China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, China Mobile Communications Corporation, Huaxia Bank, and many State ministries.

Prof. Wang has published more than 100 research papers, and many of them are published in top-tier conferences and journals, such as SIGMOD, IJCAI, VLDB, TKDE, and KDD. He has served in the Technical Program Committee of various international conferences

He was awarded “New Century Excellent Talents in University”(The Ministry of Education of China) in 2006.
