Program Overview

The PKU School of Computer Science International Summer School is a two-week, English-taught program designed for outstanding undergraduate students in computer science from leading universities worldwide.

Taught by more than ten faculty members from PKU’s School of Computer Science, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum spanning core foundations and cutting-edge research areas. Topics range from programming languages, algorithms and complexity, operating systems, and distributed systems to advanced fields such as computer vision, embodied intelligence, AI systems, hardware–software co-design, and pervasive computing.

Beyond the classroom, students gain first-hand exposure to China’s technology ecosystem through visits to leading companies including Tencent, Huawei, Baidu, ByteDance, and Microsoft.

In recent years, the program has welcomed highly selective cohorts from universities such as Columbia University, UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, NUS, NTU, IITs, and others. The summer school provides an intensive and immersive academic experience, while laying a strong foundation for future international collaboration and exchange.
