Xupeng Miao is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at Peking University. He is broadly interested in machine learning systems, data management, and distributed computing. Before joining Peking University, he was a Kevin C. and Suzanne L. Kahn New Frontiers Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University. Before that, he was a postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University and received his Ph.D. degree from Peking University. His work was recognized through the 2022 ACM China Doctoral Dissertation Award, VLDB 2022 Best Paper Award, ASPLOS 2024 Distinguished Artifact Award, ACL 2024 Outstanding Paper Award, WAIC 2024 Yunfan Award · Bright Stars, IEEE 2025 Micro Top Picks Honorable Mention Award, and 2025 Amazon Research Award. He is serving as the MLSys 2025 Artifact Evaluation Co-Chair and the KDD 2025 Artifact Badging Co-Chair.
