Hao Tang is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science at Peking University and a recipient of a national-level high-level overseas talent program. Prior to this, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the U.S. and at the Computer Vision Laboratory (CVL) of ETH Zurich in Switzerland. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Trento in Italy in 2021 and his Master's degree from Peking University in 2016. During his Ph.D., he conducted academic visits and internships at the University of Oxford in the UK and at the IIAI in the UAE, gaining extensive international academic experience.

He has published over 100 papers in top international conferences and journals, including CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACM MM, AAAI, IJCAI, TPAMI, IJCV, and TIP. His research has garnered several accolades, including a Best Paper Nomination at ACM MM 2018 (with a nomination rate of only 4/757).
